Ruislip Woods Photography Competition 2009

The Theme for last year’s photographic competition was “The Majesty of the Trees in Ruislip Woods” and for the first time the invitations to take part were circulated to local adult education groups and photographic societies.

There were a dozen entrants (and some entered more than one photo) but sadly only one entry in the children’s category.

All the entries were displayed at the Open Day and they received a lot of attention from the visitors. The judge was Chris Berry the chief photographer at the Uxbridge Gazette,
The winning entry was by Margaret Massey, 2nd prize went to Valerie Walker
And third prize went to Maggie Daly.

Mrs Massey had the Doris Dismore platter proudly displayed on her mantle piece for that year.
