Ruslip Woods Festival 2017

With a brand new venue at the scout camp area in Mad Bess Woods, we were not sure how many visitors would turn up for the 2017 Festival, but we had no need to worry. The sun shone and the spectators came out in their droves to enjoy the afternoon’s entertainment.

The Welsh Axe Men looked very at home with the Woodland back drop and the wide lawn gave lots of room for families to picnic and watch the birds of prey and the Morris Men. We were very pleased to see even more local interest groups and societies joining us at the Festival and showing everyone just how much there is to do in the local area and how much there is to learn about our ancient woodlands.

There was plenty of parking although with only one entrance/exit it was not ideal but the Green Spaces team at the Council have their thinking caps on for ways to make this easier next year.
